Our Purpose Statement
At Grace Reformed Church, we seek to filter everything we do as a church through our "Purpose Statement."
Grace Reformed Church Purpose Statement:
Fulfilling the Great Commandment with grace, we seek to love God by knowing Christ, being known by Christ, and making Christ known. We will implement this in the Greater Omaha area by multiplying biblical, worshipful churches that joyfully teach historical Reformed truth and the doctrines of grace, and applying all of Scripture to every area of life. We seek to love our neighbor through service: practicing grace-filled friendship-evangelism, offering God-centered hospitality, and displaying Christ-like mercy in word and deed.
(Fulfilling the Great Commandment with grace means loving God and loving our neighbor in an atmosphere of Christian joy and freedom; pursuing holiness while avoiding the error of either legalism or license.)
Our goal is to see at least eight PCA churches in Omaha by 2038 ("8 by '38"). Please join with us in praying for this goal. We believe that we ought to "Attempt something so great for God that it is doomed to failure if He is not in it!". To learn more about this endeavor, listen to the 2008 State of the Church address by Pastor Eric Olson, available on our Sermons page.
